Retina Dance UK
2014/15 will be an important year for Retina Dance UK. We will be exploring a new way of working… a new direction.
During what will be very much a transitional year for us, we will be forging new partnerships and researching new opportunities within education, community and of course, performances whilst remaining as an Arts Council funded NPO organisation.
We will be appointing a new artistic leader very shortly and we will announce that appointment on here soon, along with other news on all aspects of Retina Dance UK’s work moving forward.
Our interim mission statement is:
The Company will demonstrate a commitment to creating touring work that is created and inspired by the East Midlands region, and work towards using an artistic talent that has been nurtured and developed through its education programmes.
The Company will put children and young people at the heart of its work; providing opportunities to individuals and schools and universities, for children and young people to engage in contemporary dance either as an interest, for developing improved health and wellbeing or as a career option.
